<br />The Division of Minerals and Geology hereby issues notice, in accordance with Title 34, Article 33, Sectinn 116, Parasraph
<br />4, of the Colorado Revised Statutes, that on Aueust 21, 1998, an application to revise coal mining operations at [he Foidel Creek
<br />Mine was considered complete for the purposes of filin¢. The revision was submitted by Twentymile Coal Company. All
<br />review and comment periods as provided in the Act and the Reeulations initiate from this date of filing.
<br />The revision is for transfemng the "Trudy s Coster" Storage Area from Eckman Park permit (C-81-071) into the Foidel Crezk
<br />permit, transferring surplus topsoil from the Energy Minz No. 3 permit into the Foidel Creek permit, modifying the processine
<br />waste pile consuuction methodology, extending culverts, installing corrals, and revising Maps 24 and 29.
<br />The underground coal minin¢ operation is' on land located approximately 23 miles southwest of Steamboat Springs, Colorado.
<br />The permit area is further described as follows:
<br />In ponions of Sections 7, 8, 9, T4W, R86W; Sections 32 and 33, T6N, R86W; Sections 23, 24, 25, 26.27, 34, 35 and 36 in Tin,
<br />R87W; ttnd all of TSN. R86W with the exception of Sections 34, 35. and 36.
<br />The above-mentioned tracts of land are shown on USGS 7.5-minute Quadrangle map of Rattlesnake Butte
<br />A copy of the technical revision application is available for public inspzction at the Routt County Courthouse. Box 773598,
<br />Steamboat Springs, CO 80477, and at the Division office. For additional information or to provide written comments, contact
<br />the Division of Minerals and Geology, Room 215, 1313 Sherman Street, Denver. Colorado 80203, (303) 866-3567. In order
<br />for us to comply with regulatory time frames, we request that comments he submitted
<br />within fifteen (I S) days of this letter. If no comments are received by then, we will proceed on the assumption that
<br />you have no concerns with, or objections to, the applicant's proposal.
