The modification of the area of
land disturbance is to remove an approximate 1.1 acre portion of undisturbed ]and along the Bull
Seep from the permit and add approximately 1 acre of land within the 88"' Avenue Right-of--way,
as shown on Figure 1. The purpose of the modification is to enhance the reclamation of the pit
as a water storage facility by constructing an interconnect pipeline between the water storage
facility in this permit to the water storage facility in the adjacent South Dahlia Pit, Permit
Number M-89-066. The interconnect pipeline construction will consist of installing a raw water
pipeline and associated appurtenances between the two gravel pit water storage facilities as
shown on the attached drawings.
We have also filed a Reclamation Report and request for reclamation responsibility release under
a separate submission with the Office Mined Land Reclamation for the 1.1 acre azea along Bull
Seep. Included is a completed Amendment #2 to Permit M-94-093, which includes a copy of the
request for release for the undisturbed area along Bull Seep. We waive the right to have a
decision on this technical revision within 30 days due to the required public notification and
comment period.
Please call if you have any questions or require additional information.
S~ cerely,
C AS Col d nc.
Michael C.
