As discussed, the holes will be placed in the east and west portions
of the proposed Wolf Creek Seam mining area. The proposed hole locations are
depicted on Map 7B, Geology. The coordinates of holes 026-87-1 and 026-87-2
are 16,100 N: 8,600 E and 13,700N: 4,700 E, respectively. Overburden depth
.: is approximately 155 feet at 026-87-1 and 120 feet at 026-87-2. Colorado
Yampa Coal Company will analyze 15 feet of the roof, interburden (if
present), 10 feet of floor material and the coal seams. Within the roof,
interburden (if present), and floor material, five (5) foot interval core
samples will be analyzed for the following parameters: pH, electrical
conductivity, calcium, magnesium, sodium, sodium adsorption ratio, lead,
nickel, cadmium, organic sulfur, pyritic sulfur, sulfate sulfur, marcasitic
sulfur, total sulfur, ammonium nitrogen, nitrate nitrogen, acid base
potential, and neutralization potential.
