Box E <br />Paonia, Colorado <br />Re: Preliminary Adequacy Review, Portal Permit Revision, Orchard Valley <br />idine, Permit No. C-83-038 <br />Dear Mr. Sakurada: <br />The Division has completed its review of the above referenced permit <br />revision, The Division has identified several concerns that need to be <br />addressed prior to reaching a decision. Attached are our comments concerning <br />the preliminary findings of substantive adequacy submitted in accordance with <br />Rule 2,07.4(1). <br />Included in the comments were concerns raised by the Office of Surface Mining <br />and Division of Wildlife. Staff comments were received from Jim Pendleton, <br />Randy Price, Dan Mathews and Tom Schreiner. We have not received corenents <br />from the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), U.S. Forest Service (USES) or the <br />State Engineer. Any remaining comments will be forwarded to you as soon as <br />they are available. <br />Please submit your responses in a form that will allow easy replacement and <br />insertion into the application. The Division must render a decision by <br />December 19, 1986, Therefore, we will need to resolve all issues a month <br />prior to this date in order to have time to prepare the decision, <br />If you would like to meet to discuss this letter or have any questions, please <br />feel free to contact Randy Price. <br />Sincerely <br />Robert G.
