Mine No. 3 <br />Dear Mr. Mathews: <br /> <br />J <br /> <br />...... ..,: i:r:r~ <br />Colorado Yampa Coal Company (CYCC) is submitting this letter as verifica- <br />tion of the abatement of three alleged NOV's with a June 1, 1985 abatement <br />date. <br />C-85-043 required the removal of all petroleum products to an approved <br />containment area. On Tuesday, May 28th, CYCC maintenance crews removed the <br />petroleum from the Middle Creek office area and placed the barrels in our SPCC <br />approved miscellaneous storage area. <br />C-85-044 required complete installation of contour furrows and stabiliza- <br />tion of gullies at Mine No. 3, south of the Middle Creek office. All contour <br />furrows and gullies were constructed and stabilized on May 23rd, during the <br />Mine No. 3 CMLRD inspection and while the inspector was on site. <br />C-85-047 required the cleanout of the ditch and repair of the gravel fil- <br />ter sediment trap at Mine No. 3.
