DESERADO MINE, PERMIT #C-81-018 <br />Dear Ms. Morison: <br />Western Fuels-Utah, Inc. (WFU) hereby requests a permit revision to the permit #C-81-018 to <br />include a newly acquired federal coal lease COC 51551 and for a revised mine plan. <br />Federal Coal Lease COC 51551 <br />The federal lease is comprised of the following lands in Rio Blanco County: <br />T3N. R101W <br />Sec 25: Sl/2 <br />Sec 26: SEl/4 SEl/4 <br />Sec 34: Sl/2 NEl/4 and Nll2 SEl/4 <br />Sec 35: NE1/4 NEl/4, Sl/2 Nl/2, and Nl/2 Sl/2 <br />Sec 36: N1/2 and Nl/2 Sl/2 <br />The lease area is about 1360 acres. The surface area affected by underground mining is expected <br />to be approximately 1000 acres. <br />Maps 1 and 2 and page I-10, I-11, and I-12 of the permit have been revised to include the <br />newly acquired lease. Both surface and mineral are owned by the United States of America. The <br />lease document has not yet been received from Bureau of Land Management. Copies of the <br />same will be submitted as a part of the permit documents as soon as the lease document is <br />received in our office. <br />Revised Mine Plan <br />Map 119, Map 120 and pages [II-7, III-8, [II-13, and II[-23 of the permit have been revised <br />to show the revised D Seam and B Seam mine plans including anticipated mining sequences. <br />Map 134 and 135 of the permit have also been revised. These show the surface facilities with <br />I~w[~ and B Seam mine plans.
