The report calculates the effect a layer of spoil material from the ventilation shaft will have
on the stability of the gob pile. Based on the results of the report, no special procedures are
required to place and compact the vent shaft spoil in the gob pile to maintain a factor of safety
greater than 1.5. No effort will be made to mix the vent shaft spoil with the underground gob
material.
Please call if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
J. E.
