MANAGEMENT <br />Diti ~ 6 <br />sr~t(,' Tpp6 <br />Mi~i~9 aRd°~~atrp~ <br />tY <br />On behalf of Bowie Resources, LLC, (BRL), enclosed is an application for a minor <br />revision to provide for the drilling of one geotech holes. The geotech hole is located on <br />USDA-FS land along Hubbard Creek in a location BRL intends to permit an 18-foot <br />diameter vent shaft. <br />Right of Entry <br />The proposed drill site is to be located on surface managed by the USDA-FS. Right of <br />entry on USDA-FS managed land is, subject to stipulations, authorized by Federal Coal <br />Lease COC-61209. <br />Affected and Disturbed Area <br />The drill site and 0.01 mile of new road will disturb approximately 0.6 acres. All of the <br />disturbance is outside of the affected area boundary. <br />Cultural Resources <br />See Volume VI, Cultural Resources, item and 12. <br />Access <br />Access to the geo-tech hole will be from Hubbard Creek Road. <br />Soils <br />No detailed soil survey will be performed in the areas to be disturbed for the light use <br />road or drill pad. To the extent possible, depending on the slope of the ground surface, <br />topsoil will be salvaged. <br />
