In your inspection
of 12/11/96 you listed 3 conditions for the operator:
The operator can only disturb one acres unless...
2. The operator notifies the Division, 60 days prior, that mining activities will be initiated;
3. The operator must submit a Financial Warranty of $5,630.00 by June 25, 1995. (The bond was
submitted on May 5, 1995.
This letter is to serve as notification to the Division that the operator wishes to start mining as soon
as possible. Although I do not have the maps here, I believe this was permitted as a phased operation
with somewhere between 30 and 35 acres in the first phase. The operator wants to initiate the first
phase, and will wait for you to establish bond costs. As soon as they receive them from you, they
will submit the bond and start operation.
Thanks for your help ir. this matter. Let us know as soon ask possible about the bund costs.
LVB/gb
cc: Fountain Colony
Cordially,
Lloyd .
