Shelton Director February 23, 1981 President Webster Sand and Gravel 400 E. 9th Street Leadville, Colorado 80961 RE: Webster Sand and Gravel Operation in Lake County Dear Mr. Webster: Enclosed please find the Notice of Violation and Cease and Desist Order for your gravel operation located in approximately the Sw'~ of the NETd and the NW's of the SEA of Section 16, Township 9 South, Range 80 West of the 6th P. M., in Lake County. The Mined Land Reclamation Board moved to issue this order on January 28, 1981 and deferred considera- tion of possible civil penalties until a later date (most probably after such time as an adequate mining and reclamation permit applica- tion has been approved by the Board). Please read this enclosed document thoroughly to apprise yourself of its conditions. The specific conditions of the Cease and Desist Order are found on the second page of the order. I will expect to hear from you in the near future concerning the mining and reclamation permit applications for this operation and any other operations you have that have not yet been permitted. The Cease and Desist Order on this operation wilt remain in effect until it is lifted by the Board. Until such time as the order has been Zifted, no other Webster Sand and Gravel operations can be permitted by the Board.
