Long <br />Drvivon Director <br />RE: Permit Revision No. 3, Facilities Expansion and Production Increase, Bowie No. 2 Mine, <br />Permit No. C-96-083, Bowie Resources Limited <br />Deaz Mc Bear: <br />The Division has finished its adequacy review of Bowie Resources Limited's (BRL) August 30, <br />1999 submittal for Permit Revision No. 3. This adequacy letter is divided into three main <br />sections. The first section s IabeleG '`GRIGINAL TR-O6 QUESTIONS" and refers to the <br />Division's adequacy review letter for Technical Revision No. 6, dated February 8, 1999. <br />Technical Revision No. 6 was the original submittal for the longwall support facilities, which <br />was then withdrawn and resubmitted as Permit Revision No. 3. The Division's adequacy review <br />letter for Technical Revision No. 6 constituted the first adequacy review letter for Permit <br />Revision No. 3. Questions numbered 1 through 32 aze in this section and follow the fon37at of the <br />original TR-06 letter. <br />Section two is labeled "ADDITIONAL QUESTIONS" and refers to additional questions <br />numbered 33, 34 and 35 which appeazed in the Divisions second adequacy review letter for <br />Permit Revision No. 3, dated July 23, 1999. Also, in this second section is a new question <br />numbered 35 and a new comment numbered 36. <br />The third section is labeled "ORIGINAL TR-07 QUESTIONS" and refers to questions numbered <br />7, 9, 9a, 96, 9c, 9d, 10, 13, 19, 20, 21, 24, 25 and 28, which were part of Technical Revision No. <br />7 and have relevance to PR-03. Technical Revision No. 7 was the original submittal for <br />conversion to longwall mining. This technical revision was later withdrawn and resubmitted as <br />Permit Revision No. 2. Most of the questions in Technical Revision No. 7 were later answered in <br />Technical Revision No. 8, Technical Revision No. 9 and Permit Revision No. 2. The remaining <br />questions from Technical Revision No. 7 aze presented here, using the format of the original <br />adequacy review for Technical Revision No. 7, dated February 8, 1999. <br />
