Long <br />Division Director <br />Re: Roadside Portals (Permit No. C-81-041) <br />Technical Revision No. 18 (Hydrologic Monitoring and Reactivation of CRDA #1) <br />Dear Mr. Reschke: <br />We have received your technical revision application to revise your permit to <br />conduct coal mining in Colorado. Our initial review indicates that all <br />preliminary items required by the Colorado Surface Coal Mining Reclamation Act, <br />C.R.S. 34-33-101 et sec., have been submitted; thus your technical revision <br />application has been deemed complete for the purposes of filing on August 8, <br />1994. All review and comment periods as provided in the Act and Regulations <br />promulgated thereunder initiate from this date of filing. <br />A copy of the technical revision application, less any confidential information, <br />must be filed for public inspection with the Mesa County Planner or Clerk and <br />Recorder. Any subsequent changes or additions must also be made in this copy. <br />The proposed newspaper advertisement submitted with the application has been found <br />to be satisfactory with one exception. The public notice should include <br />Powderhorn's plan to reactivate Cameo Refuse Disposal Area #1 (CRDA #1). You <br />should commence publication of this advertisement as specified in Rule 2.07.3.(2) <br />of the Regulations with the exception that the publication need only be run once. <br />Proof of the publication of the advertisement must be filed with the Division as <br />soon as available after the publication date. <br />The staff is currently reviewing your technical revision application to determine <br />whether the items you have submitted are adequate in terms of meeting the <br />requirements for purposes of adequacy. You will be notified as to the Division's <br />findings of adequacy or inadequacy of your revision application.
