Box 837 <br />Meeker, Colorado 81641 <br />Dear A{vin: <br />Enron Coal Company, is applying for Phase 3 bond release for part of its reclaimed <br />operations north of Meeker. As required by Colorado law, whenever any part of any <br />coal mine bond is to be released, all interested parties must be notified. This letter is to <br />notify you that Enron Coal Company is requesting full release of the current bond <br />amount of $184,071 for successful reclamation of the Meeker Mines. The full bond <br />release application will be submitted to the Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology <br />in the second week of May, 1997. A copy will also be placed on file at the County <br />Planner's office in Meeker. All information on the mine location, maps, revegetation, <br />etc. is contained in this application. If you have any questions, comments or <br />disagreements with the proposed bond release, please notify the Colorado Division of <br />Minerals and Geology at 1313 Sherman Street, 2nd Floor, Denver, Colorado, 80203. <br />As the reclamation engineer for Enron, 1 can also be reached at the number and address <br />shown above. 1 would like to invite you to the bond release inspection that will take <br />place sometime this summer at the sites.
