This also corrects an outstanding problem dating from the last inspection
(5/16/05).
Normally a noxious weed control plan must include the specific types of activities or treatments to be implemented.
The informafion in the technical revision request was not very detailed, but in this case it was considered to be
adequate. Since the infestation was small and fairly recent, and since the site is in final recl<unation, Southway's
commitment to monitor regularly, and call upon the county's weed control expert for assistance, the weed control
plan is satisfactory and was approved.
Final reclamation of the site may include re-disturbing or spreading some of the surface material in the permit area.
If care is not exercised, the patch of black henbane could be affected. Please be aware that rnoving seed-infested
material can act to increase the size of future infestations, greatly increasing the weed control problem. During
reclamation, therefore, you must limit earthmoving to non-infested areas.
Details of all weed control monitoring and treatment, as well as completed reclamation acti'v'ities, should be
reported in the future annual reports.
Thank you for committing to this weed control plan. If you need to discuss this, I may be reached at the Division's
Durango field office: 701 Camino del Rio, Room 125, Durango, CO 81301; telephone 970-247-5193.
Sincerely,
Sod ~~-~-
Bob Oswald
Environmental Protection Specialist
Ec: Harry Posey, DMG
C:\swede cor nox tr01 appr/rco
Office of Office of Colorado
