Lochhead
E~ecmioe Director
Michael 9. Long
Diri~ion Dueao~
V/e recently reviewed the Gleason Pit Annual Report. The report indicated that the site has been,
and may continue to be, inactive for at least six months. Please refer to the Construction Rules
and Regulations Sections 1.13 (enclosed) which state that if an operation ceases production for a
period of 180 days or more, the operator must file a Notice of Temporary Cessation with the Board.
This notice must state the date of cessation, the reasons for cessation, a plan for the resumption of
mining, a description of those activities the operator will take to ensure compliance with the permit
reclamation requirements and a description of site maintenance activities to ensure compliance with
the performance standards (Rult: 3). If you submit
a technical revision to the permit, we will process it within 30 days.
If you have questions, please do not hesitate to call.
Sincere) •~ /
Steve Shue _~`-'~~./
Y /
Senior Environmental Spec al

OF COLORADO
Enclosure(s)
