Where appropriate these
responses have been included into the revised subsidence
monitoring and control plan included with this letter.
1. In addition to the subsidence monitoring points, control
points were located further from the zones of projected
subsidence. A maximum angle of draw can be calculated from
these points. Based on information from this first panel,
additional points will be established over the second panel
to better define the angle of draw.
2. A statement requiring Division approval has been added
to the referenced portion of the plan.
3. The sentence has been revised to read "at least one
month prior to the subsidence trough approaching within 100
feet".
4. This sentence hae been revised to read "semi-annually"
5. The heading has been deleted.
6. Tension cracks have been observed parallel to the
longwall panel and face. Where observed these cracks have
been located over the longwall gate entries and within 100
to 200 feet of the advancing face. The width of these
cracks ranged up to one inch in width, and closed as the
face continued to advance.
