Lochhead
Eaecmive Director
Mrchael B. Long
Dincion Dveclor
The Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology has revised its proposed decision to approve a
request for partial release of reclamation bond liability for the Raton Creek Mine. This revision
has resulted from comments received during the public comment period.
The Division had made a reference to a section of the Colorado Surface Mining Act and
Regulations that did not apply to the Raton Creek Mine. The inapplicable reference was Rule
2.06.5 which pertains to steep slope mining. The Raton Creek Mine does not qualify as a steep
slope mining operation. Elimination of this reference is the only revision made to this document.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call me.
Sincerely,
~~:~~
net .
