The area addressed in this <br />proposal is at and near the portal of the Wright Mine in the SW '/4 sec. 27, T48N, R17W, <br />NMPM, Montrose County, Colorado. The reason for requesting the revision is a result of <br />the area now being covered by Permit No. M-1978-116, Amendment AM-1, approved <br />November 8, 2004, as detailed below. <br />Permit No. M-1979-118 is a 110 Limited Impact permit for 9.9 acres of affected land. <br />However, the location of the 9.9 acres is not defined, rather it can occur anywhere in the <br />1,000 acres described as the "Legal Description" in Exhibit A. The permit states in the <br />Mining Plan section, "Although a point of entry is of yet undetermined and existing <br />entries and surface facilities would be used where practical. Additional new surface <br />disturbances, (roads, ventilation sites, dump areas, and other mining related mining <br />disturbances), aze expected to be minimal with the utilization ofpre-existing surface <br />disturbances wherever possible. Future disturbances will be mapped and filed with the <br />Board as they occur." It is possible that the Wright Mine portal, waste dump, and ore bin <br />aze a part of the 9.9 acres, even though they aze not specifically identified.
