ALDEN D. CONOER, JR. I III IIIIIIIII IIII III . W I L L I A M C. EEDY
999 .
Conger & &Peebq
INSURANCE AGENCY. INC. RECEIVED
900 GRANT STREET . DENVER. COLO. 80203 JUN 24 1976
PHONE (303) 831-7216
June 22, 1976 ECLAMATION SECTION
Colo. Dept. of Natural Resources
The State of Colorado
Land Reclamation Board
Department of Natural Resources
Room 215, 1845 Sherman Street
Denver, Colorado 80203
RE: St. Paul Bond #400 DZ 3516
covering property known as the
Morrison Mine
Gentlemen;
The above captioned bond was originally filed with you effective
8-26-74 to 8-26-75 and subsequently renewed for the period of time
8-26-75 to 8-26-76. The bond has no specific term, but runs for
an indefinite period of time until cancelled either by the company
or by the State, or by the Jefferson County Board of Adjustment.
The current problem arose when the Jefferson County Board of
Adjustment reviewed the bond form of the State and determined
that it was not detailed enough for their purposes. They therefore
have requested that the terms and conditions of their amended resolution
dated March 17, 1976 be made a part of the bond terms and conditions.
The St. Paul Insurance Company is agreeable to doing this, but they
wanted assurance that both the State and the Jefferson County people
were aware that the maximum penalty of the bond is $55,000, and not
$55,000 for each.
To this end I have had a County Commissioner from Jefferson County
sign the attached rider stating that the aggregate limit of liability
is $55,000, and I now ask that the State Land Reclamation Board
have an authorized person sign for the State recognizing this fact.
Please sign all copies that I have sent to you, and return them to me.
I will then forward these to the Bond Company and they will make the
Jefferson County Resolution a part of the bond and we will then file
copies of all signed papers with the State, Jefferson County, and the
bonding company.
Yours ery truly,
'l/ den D. Conger, Jr.
ADC:lh
