The revision was submitted by MINREC, inc.. <br />All review and commen[ periods as provided in the Act and the Regulations initiate from this date of filing. <br />This revision would modify the current reclamation-only permit to answer those issues brought forward during the current <br />process of permit renewal of a valid, existing permit. The permit renewal issues involved updating the current status of the <br />mine site and the mine discharge flow as well as reclamation issues concerning revegetation and backfilling the portal. <br />The underground coal mining operation is on land located approximately ]0 miles southwest of Carbondale, Colorado. The <br />permit area is further described as follows: <br />T8S, R89W; Portions of Sections 2l, 22, 27, 28, 33, 34 and 35 <br />T9S, R89W; Portions of Sections 2, 3 and 4 <br />T7S, R88W; Portions of Sections 20, 29, 30 and 32 <br />The above-mentioned tracts of land are shown on USGS 7.5 minute Quadrangle maps of Stoney Ridge and Carbondale. <br />A copy of the [ethnical revision application is available for public inspection at the Garfield County Courthouse, 109 8th St <br />S[e 200, Glenwood Springs, CO 81601, and at the Division office. For additional information or to provide wri[[en <br />comments, contact the Division of Minerals and Geology, Room 215, 1313 Sherman Street, Denver, Colorado 80203, <br />(303) 866-3567. In order for us to comply with regulatory time frames, we request that comments be submitted within fifteen <br />(IS) days of this letter.
