The abatemeot of the Violation calls for a revision
to the Permit to either provide the Division with additional information regarding pumping of pit water into
the East Taylor Pond or provide a statement in the Permit that pit pumping will not take place.
Colowyo has chosen the second alternative. Currently, page 4.05-6 of the Permit contains a
statement regarding the pumping of pit water into sedimentation ponds. Today, we are providing a revised
permit page which states that pit pumping into sedimentation ponds will not take place.
In addition, we have also added a short statement that the use offlocculents in sedimentation ponds
maybe used in accordance with the provisions of the CDPS Permit.
Please contact me if you have any questions concerning this matter.
Sincerely,
Gv4~ ,~.
J es A.
