Delta County DMG Permit No. M-78-304
Deaz Mr. Jiminez:
Delta County has applied for a Conversion from an existing Limited Impact Permit # M-78-304 (less
than ]0 acres), to a regulaz (112) reclamation permit (over 10 acres) from the Colorado Mined Land
Reclamation Board ("the Board") to conduct the extraction of construction materials operations in Delta
County. The Triantos Gravel Pit is located on a tract of land in part of the NW l/4, SW l/4 and SW 1/4
NW 1/4 of Section 21, T15S, R96W of the 6th P.M., in Delta County. This pit is located approximately
3.75 miles West of the City of Delta. Delta County owns all of this proposed mining area.
Enclosed herewith is the Notice of Filing the Conversion Application to the Colorado Division of
Minerals & Geology, along with the application and a map, to inform you of the location and nature of
the proposed operation.
Delta County proposes to reclaim the affected land for wildlife habitat. Pursuant to C.R.S. 34-32-
116(7)(j) the Board may confer with the local Soil Conservation Districts before approving of the post-
mining land use.
Please note that, in order to preserve your right to a hearing before the Board on this application, you
must submit written comments on the application within twenty (20) days of the date of Last publication
of notice pursuant to Section 34-32-] 12(10), C.R.S.
