Climax Molybdenum Corppany, Climax Mine
Dear Allen: ~ //
The Climax Molybdenum Company, Climax Mine plans to complete cover activities on the
Robinson Tailing Impoundment. In addition to rock application and surface revegetation of the
cover materials, Climax proposes to configure a water pool in association with the East Side
Channel and 2-Dam Spillway (TR-012) and attendant hydraulic control systems. This project will
complete cover activities on the Robinson impoundment that were begun in the late 1980s. This
project is scheduled to occur concurrently with activities approved under TR-011 and activities
pending approval under TR-012.
Climax remains an active operation because of ongoing and documented closurelreclamation
and composting operations, dust control, water treatment and compliance management, general
property management activities, and large molybdenum reserves. Future mine planning and
concomitant specific reclamation planning is in progress at Climax.
Three copies of this TR and the requisite $875.00 fee are included herein with three copies of the
TR. If you have any questions, please contact me at 303-569-3221, ext. 1204. We will consider
this TR fo be approved if we have not received a response from your office within 30 days.
Sincerely,
c%~~
Bryce R.
