(BMRI) - San Luis
DMG Permit No. M-88-112
Request for Technical Revision No. 20
Process Water Tank Storage Area
Dear Mr. Dillie:
ne MourvwN
D COMPANY
~ /C,' ~~
This letter serves as a request for a technical revision, TR-020,
to construct a storage area around the process water hank. The
storage area will be approximately 151 'x 52', a total of 7,900 ft2.
This additional area will enable BMRI to store equipment and
supplies more effectively. A 10' wide ramp will be proviQ~ed on the
north end of the storage area for easy access to equipment and
supplies.
The storage area will have a one foot depth. Section A-A of the
enclosed map shows that the concrete will be 6" in thickrness. The
area will be cold jointed with a waterproof seal to the existing
concrete slab floor of the process 'tank pump house. Expansion
joints will be located down the middle of the length and the width.
The reclamation cost for the process water tank storage area is
based on estimated costs from the approved reclamation plan.
Concrete removal costs for a 4" floor are $1.69/ft2 andl for a 5"
floor are $2.59/ftZ, it is estimated that removal costs for a 6"
floor will be $3.49/ft'-. The storage area is 7,900 ftZ and 6" thick
so the estimated concrete removal is $28,000.
This addition is located within an already disturbed area;
therefore, ripping, grading, topsoil replacement, and seeding costs
have been accounted for in the approved reclamation plan. The
total additional cost of reclamation for the new storage area,
including a contingency of 25°s, is $35,000. This represents only
1°s of the existing $3.3 million reclamation bond.
A SU05/DIARY' OFOA7TLF MOUA7A/N GOL/I COMPANY
P.O. BOX 71U SAN LUIS, COLORADO 8115?0310 (719)67?-}36?
