Box 68, <br />Craig, Colorado 81625, was deemed complete for the purposes of filing. All <br />reviews and comment periods as provided in the Act and Regulations promulgated <br />thereunder initiate from this day of filing. <br />The applicant proposes to continue conducting underground coal mining <br />operations on lands located in portions of Township 6 North, Range 91 West; <br />Township 6 North, Range 92 West; Township 5 North, Range 92 West; and <br />Township 5 North, Range 91 West of the 6th P.M., more specifically described <br />on attached figure. The above-mentioned tracts of land are shown on USGS 7. <br />minute Quadrangle map of Round Bottom and Caster Gulch, Colorado. <br />In order for us to approve this renewal application, we are required to <br />confirm that projections and assumptions in the permit remain valid and that <br />the operation is in compliance with the approved permit. We are requesting <br />your agency's evaluation of the renewal application with respect to the <br />continued validity of the assumptions and projections of the mining and <br />reclamation plan which relate to fish and wildlife considerations, including <br />potential impacts to threatened or endangered species. <br />Applicable sections of the <br />enclosed.
