Your
11 April is granted,
arisen that may affect
The issuance of NOV C-97-004 responded, among other things, to
the encroachment of fill material from deadhead road construction
activity into the drainage and to the stream flowing along County
Road 27 between a small stockpond and culvert YA 1. The fill
material used to widen the county road along that stretr_h of
approximately 150 feet was placed into the drainage channel and is
sloughing off into the stream.
This recent development requires some additional information that
is appropriate for the TR-OS submittal, involving two separate
issues concerning the fill at the aforementioned location.
(1) The first issue is that the DMG needs to review a plan for
resolving the encroachment of the soil pile into the drainage that
will not involve further impacts to that drainage.
(2) The second regards our discussion about Seneca Coal Company
reducing the slope on the pile adjacent to the stream to 5:1. This
needs to be stated and clarified with plans on how that will be
accomplished including the final location and arrangement of the
fill (i.e., where will the fill be when the work is completed
relative to the stream and the drainage.) Specifically, we need
to review diagrams in both cross-section and plan view of the
planned fill-drainage arrangement.
II~~
DEPARTMENT OI
NATURAI
RESOURCE'
