<br />Permit Renewal Application
<br />Dear Routt County Commissioners:
<br />The Division of Minern(s and Geology hereby issues notice, in accordance with Title 34, Article 33, Section 118,
<br />Paragraph 3, of the Colorndo Revised Statutes, that on December 4, 1997, a permit renewal application for a permit
<br />to conduct coal mining operntions, Permit No. C-82-056 by Twentymile Coal Co, was considered complete for the
<br />purposes of filing. All review and comment periods as provided in the Colorado Surface Mining Reclamation Act
<br />and the Rules and Regulations of the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board for Coal Mining initiate from this
<br />date of filing.
<br />The applicant proposes to continue underground coal mining and/or reclamation operations on land located
<br />approximately 23 miles southwest of Steamboat Sptings, Colorado. The permit area is further described as follows:
<br />In portions of Sections 7, 8, 9, T4W, R86W; Sections 32 and 33, T6N, R86W; Sections 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 34, 35
<br />and 36 in TSn, R87W; and all of TSN, R86W with the exception of Sections 34, 35, and 36.
<br />The above-mentioned tracts of land are shown on USGS 7.5 minute Quadrangle maps of Rattlesnake Butte, Milner,
<br />Cow Creek.
<br />A copy of the renewal application is available for public inspection at the Routt County Courthouse, Box 773598,
<br />Steamboat Springs, CO 80477. For additional information, to provide written comments, or request an informal
<br />conference, contact the Division of Minerals and Geology, Room 215, 1313 Sherman Street, Denver,
<br />Colorado 80203, (303) 866-3567, within thirty days (30) after the last public notice in the Steamboat Pilor.
