Long <br />Division Director <br />The Division of Minerals and Geology hereby issues notice, in accordance with Title 33, Article 34, <br />Section 118, Paragraph 3 ofthe Colorado Revised Statutes, that on February 6, 1996, an application to revise <br />coal mining operations at the Seneca II Mine was considered complete for the purposes of filing. The revision <br />was submitted by Seneca Coal Company. All review and comment periods as provided in the Act and the <br />Regulations initiate from this date of filing. <br />The revision addresses changes to the topsoil balance plan. <br />The surface coal mining operation is on land located approximately 20 miles southwest of Steamboat Springs, <br />Colorado. The permit area is further described as follows: <br />Township 5 North. Ranee 87 West of the 6th Principal Meridian <br />Section 1: All <br />Section 2: All <br />Section 3: Portions of E'fzE'fi <br />Section 11: NE'k, N'k NW'/a, SE'/a NW'/a, NE'/a SE'k, and Portions of SE'k SE'/a and <br />NW'/. SES4 <br />Section 12: All <br />Section 13: N'k N'h N'fi <br />Townshig 6 North. Range 87 West of the 6th Principal Meridian: <br />Section 27: Portions of SE'/a SW'/., SW'k SW'/i, SW'k SE'k and SE'/. SE'/a <br />Section 34: E'k E'f~, NW'/a NE'/a, and Portions of NE'/.
