Mathews:
JUL ~ 01987
MINED LAND
RECLAMATIQN DIJtSl4~!
Asa result of our joint inspection on June 29, 1987, of the public lands
included in Colorado Yampa Coal Company's Phase I bond release request, tie
have no objections to the proposed band release. It was noted that the
affected public lands contained in lease C-081330 and C-16284 have not
been adequately revegetated and those public lands in lease C-22644 still
need final grading and shaping, topsoiling and re vegetation. Adequate
bonding should be retained to ensure those reclamation measures are
implemented successfully in order to protect rescources and achieve the
planned post-mining land uses.
We nave not identified any compliance problems with the special lease
stipulations as they pertain to this bond release request.
Sincerely,
~ \~ - ~
~~ Roy S.
