This material. <br />will be buried to a depth of at least 6' and poe~sibly <br />up to 50' within the existing quarry. There should <br />be no impact on the quality or quantity of ground <br />water at this location. The water table is <br />approximately 160' deep from the fine grind <br />processing plant- <br />Projections at this time are to bury only limited <br />amounts of scrap iron and fines in the backfill. <br />Approximately 1 ton of scrap and 20 tons of fines is all <br />that is generated in an average year's operatiort_ The <br />scrap iron and fines will not be located entirely at one <br />site, instead it will be placed at various placers within <br />the quarry"s backfilled highwalls.
