Long
Division Director
The Division has completed review of Map 29 submitted to resolve concerns with regard to
constnrction of a waste pile at the Foidel Creek Mine. This map was helpful in clarifying
key questions with regard to topsoil htydown depths and disturbed areas. Ilowever, there are
still errors that exist on this map and some questions with regard to reclamation
commitments.
Rather than continue the shuttle of more paperwork, I would like to propose that you visit
our office at some time in the fast two weeks of October. This will allow us access to
maps, text, and computer equipment to fmally resolve all remaining issues. These issues
brieFly are as follows:
1. Map 29 shows no waste rock disturfiance.
2. Pile SF-3 volume discrepancy as per Map 29.
3. SF-6 not labeled.
4. No topsoil shown going to PM bay.
5. Pond T to be reclaimed?
6. Map 29 at 1" = 500' (Rule 2.10.1(1)).
7. FCB-1 pile labelling on Map 29.
8. No depths given for dedicated areas.
9. R-O-M disturbed area delineation.
10. Total disturbed area.
11. Waste pile disturbed area disagreement.
