Since Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Division regulations
require that all areas affected by mining, including areas potentially
affected by subsidence, must be included within the 5-year permit area and
since West Elk Coal Company's mine plan showed mining to the boundaries of
the 5-year permit area, the permit area was expanded to include those areas
which could be affected by mining. These areas are in Sections 17, 22 and
28. The attached exhibits to the application submitted in February have
been revised to reflect this minor increase in the permit area. A total of
approximately 135 acres have been added then to the proposed permit area
increase. I would appreciate your replacing the exhibits in the original
permit application with these revised exhibits.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call me at 293-7949.
apologize for any inconvenience these changes have made.
Sincerely,
~°'~
Paige 6:' Seville
Senior Permits Coordinator
PBB:tmd
Enclosures
cc: Rocky Bowman, WECC
Dennis Conn, WECC
Susan Mowry, CMLRD ~
ANACONDA Mineral, CpmOany n a Dmuon of AllanlicP~cMIeIECOmpany AML0~6pOp-A le~!]t
