We aze opposed to the granting of this
permit. The reasons we oppose the granting of this change are:
a) It is in conflict with the County Master Plan. If you allow exceptions
to the Master Plan, soon you will not have a plan at all and when that
happens, properly values decrease.
b) Tiger Road is a minor road and has multiple uses now (horse,
bicycles, walkers, etc.) in addition to vehicle traffic It would be
unsafe to add major truck traffic to the existing load.
c) The operation will pose an environmental threat to the Swan River
Valley and to the Swan River itself. Any run off from the operation
will end up in the river, which in turn could endanger the Blue River
and Lake Dillon. Given the porous nature of the soil, run off could
also contaminate the ground water which many homes use as potable
water.
d) A full environmental impact study should be completed and published
before this permit change is considered.
For these reasons, we request that the County deny the Everist's
request.
Yours truly, G ~~~
,~ ~ ~~~~
Da ' and Suzette Meskell
~~~
