Cattany <br />Division Director <br />Natural Resource Trustee <br />I am requesting your assistance in the review of the geotechnical issues that may be involved with Technical <br />Revision No. 34 (TR-34). In TR-34, Bowie Resources Limited (BRL) is proposing to construct a coal <br />conveyor system to bring B-seam coal from the B-seam portal bench up to the D-seam portal bench for <br />handling through the breaker and crusher. From there, the coal will be conveyed through the downhill <br />conveyor system to the unit train loadout. BRL is also proposing to construct a temporary coal breaker and <br />crusher handling system until the coal conveyor system is constructed. The project will disturb an additional <br />0.5 acres of surface land that is owned by BRL. BRL is proposing to construct the transfer tower on top of the <br />new B-Seam excess material storage area. <br />Attached is one copy of the TR-34 submittal. I will be on vacation from May 11 through May 25. If <br />you need information during that time period, please see Sandy or you can call Jim Stover at (970) <br />245-4101. <br />BRL would like to begin construction around the middle of June. If you could get your memo to me by <br />May 25, I would greatly appreciate it.
