Long <br />D ivisian Director <br />On April 22, 1993, the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board declared <br />forfeited in their entirety the Performance Bonds posted by <br />Trinidad Basin Mining Company for the Trinidad Basin Mine, Las Animas County, <br />Colorado. These two letters of credit total $132,280.00. . <br />Pursuant to Rule 3.04.2(5) of the Regulations of the Colorado Mined Land <br />Reclamation Board for Coal Mining, the Division hereby notifies <br />First National Bank of Trinidad of the Bank's opportunity to demonstrate to <br />the Division the ability to complete the Trinidad Basin Mine reclamation plan. <br />Should the bank decline to proceed with completing this reclamation plan, the <br />Division will initiate its request for the proceeds from these Letters of <br />Credit, to be used pursuant to Rule 3.04.2(4) for reclamation of the <br />Trinidad Basin Mine. Proceeds obtained by the Division from forfeited <br />performance bonds in excess of the costs and administration responses to <br />complete the approval reclamation plan will be refunded to First National Bank <br />of Trinidad. <br />Please notify us in writing by June 15, 1993 regarding the Bank's decision in <br />this matter.
