Cattany <br />Aging Division Director <br />As we had discussed in the field on December 4, 2002, enclosed are the two submittals <br />that the Division received from Bowie Resources Limited (BRL) for the bond release <br />request (SL-02) for the Bowie No. 1 Mine. The Division is currently working on the <br />reclamation cost estimate for SL-02. Also, BRL will be submitting an engineering report <br />on [he factor of safety information for the reclaimed slopes. I had told BRL that the factor <br />of safety demonstration would be an adequacy issue for SL>-02, rather than a <br />completeness issue, but that BRL should get it to the Division as soon as possible <br />anyway. When we get this additional information, I will forwazd a copy to you. <br />When the date for the bond release inspection has been set, we will contact you.
