We assert that the
MLRB cannot grant a change of industrial/mining water to agriculture use.
RCAC also contests the assertion by Battle Mountain Gold that the West
Pit water is now of pre-mining quality. Only an independent water quality
tests} can confirm or deny that assertion.
Further, RCAC objects to the proposed irrigation of the BMG property,
aka Shalom Ranch, with water that should have been processed through the
water treatment plant that is currently in operation and returned to the Rito Seco.
Sincerely,
r~~~~
Ryan Rose
Project Manager
