The TR is
to address current conditions within the pit and reduce the reclamation liability for the permit.
Staff's review of the request is completed and we are aleased to inform Beavers Construction that
TR-01 is approved. The changes to the Mining Plan include the following:
1) The phasing of the mining now represents more realistically current site conditions.
2) Beavers has committed to keeping all slopes at 3h:1 V for the duration of mining.
3) A maximum of 10 acres in disturbance is allowed.
Staff has noted that the site is at its maximum disturbance. The reduction in the bond liability is
based on this acreage. Therefore, it is imperative that no further disturbance outside of Phase 1 be
done until some reclamation is accomplished in this area.
All other aspects of the approved permit are still in affect and unchanged.
If you need additional information, please contact me at the Division of Minerals and Geology,
Grand Junction Field Office, 101 S. 3rd St., Suite 301, Grand Junction, Colorado 81501,
telephone no. 970.241.1 117.
Si}nc~erely~~
/J•
G.
