I <br />I~~ I~II~IIIIIIII I~I • <br />ss <br />April 8, 1994 <br />1- 2- 3- <br />4- <br />5- <br />6- <br />RE: Recommendation by the Division of Minerals and Geology for the Colona Pit, File No. <br />M-94-005, Montrose County <br />Dear 1- 3-: <br />On April 8, 1994, the Division of Minerals and Geology issued its recommendation to the <br />Mined Land Reclamation Board for consideration during the April 27-28, 1994 meeting. The <br />recommendation by the Division for the Board is to approve the referenced 112 Regular <br />Permit application. The reasons for the recommendation are as follows: <br />1. The applicant, United Companies of Mesa County, complied with all the requirements <br />of the Mined Land Reclamation Act and the Mineral Rules and Regulations, followed <br />all required notice procedures, has, or will, obtain all necessary permits and is in <br />compliance with local laws. <br />2. The applicant has agreed to submit a financial warranty bond in an amount the Division <br />deems sufficient for the proposed final reclamation. <br />All interested parties are herewith notified of this recommendation, pursuant to Rule 2.3.1(2). <br />If any party wishes to object [o this recommendation, pursuant to Rule 2.3.3(2)(b), that party <br />must submit a statement to the Division for the Board's consideration when making its <br />decision at the April 27-28, 1994 meeting. <br />Sincerely, <br />James Dillie <br />JD/ern <br />ce: H.
