Long <br />Drvmm~ Direcbr <br />You forwarded a copy of a letter submitted for review by Cripple Creek & Victor Gold <br />(CC&VG1, dated March 27, 1996, to my attention. This letter and the attached memoranda <br />addressed two topics: testing specification correction for LLDPE puncture resistance and <br />"Remediation of Underground Workings". You asked me to review the first item. <br />"LLDPE Puncture Resistance Specification" <br />Golder Associates discovered that the ASTM (Americam Society for Testing & Materials) <br />specification included within the permit revision document for verifying the puncture <br />resistance of geomembranes was incorrectly referenced. The reference included in the <br />application was a 1970 vintage specification, FTM 101 C -2065. Golder has corretcly <br />identified the more contemporary standard testing method as (ASTM) D4833, last revised <br />in 1988. Golder has identified and submitted the text citations and tables which require <br />correction.
