Divnwn Direttar <br />I have reviewed Basin resources responses to the Division's adequacy letter of November <br />22, 1994. Four items were still outstanding. I will follow the same numbering assignments <br />of Nos. 2, 3, 7, and 8. <br />2) Woody plant density monitoring results from 1994 will be presented to the Division <br />in the Annual Reclamation Report. This is acceptable. <br />3) A. Basin Resources has revised the rangeland seed mix, Table 2b, page 2.05-48, to <br />include a greater percentage of native warm season graminoid species. These species <br />are desirable and suited for the post mining land use. This revised seed mix is <br />approved. <br />B. Revision to the rangeland seed mix to include additional warm season species has <br />increased the seeding rate to 12.93 lbs PIS/acre. This increase is acceptable to the <br />Division. <br />C. Basin Resources has revised page 2.05-47a to set an upper limit of relative cover <br />one plant species can contribute on the reclaimed area. This is acceptable to the <br />Division. <br />7) C. Reference to the topsoil borrow area was located,on permit page 2.05-22. <br />8) Basin Resources has brought both page 2.05-21 and 2.05-46 into agreement on the <br />thickness of topsoil to be replaced on the Refuse Disposal Area. Both the <br />referenced pages state that b inches of topsoil will be replaced over 42 inches of non- <br />toxic subsoil. <br />The operator has addressed all of the items that the Division identified in the November <br />22, 1994 letter. <br />m:\coal\j hb\C81012TR.37b <br />cc: Public File <br />
