Long
Division Director
Peabody Western Coal Company (PWCC) submitted the above mentioned technical revision
in response to our Midterm Review. In addition to our original concerns, PWCC also updated
the hydrologic monitoring program. The changes made involve updating the permit
application to reflect the monitoring program that was approved in 1990, as well as a request
to discontinue monitoring on Watering Trough Gulch.
I would appreciate your reviewing the submittal for technical adequacy, and forwarding your
comments or questions to me. The due date for our adequacy comments is November 17,
1993. I realize that this is short notice and that you will be out in the field next week, so as
soon as possible is great.
I have attached copies of our midterm revision requirements, their response, and the portion
of the submittal that pertains to the hydrologic monitoring program. Please let me know if you
need anything else. Thank you.
c: Larry Routten
st.a~t(o~3a.wr
