The existing inclinometers and
piezometers, that are sheazed or no longer producing reliable data, will be abandoned. MCC proposes
to submit the completion reports for the replacements after drilling is completed along with the
abandonment reports for the existing wells. The wells will be abandoned according to the performance
standards at 4.07.3 Permanent Sealing, Regulations ofthe CMLR Board for Coal Mining.
Attached are two tables showing the inclinometer and piezometer identification number, locations,
approximate elevations, approximate depths, and in the case of the piezometers, the approximate
screened interval (feet), the inclinometer or piezometer number that the new inclinometer or
piezometer replaces, and a short description as to their locations in relationship to the landslide.
A map is also included for reference to existing inclinometer and piezometer locations and the
proposed new locations for inclinometer and piezometer installation.
When this minor revision is approved, MCC would begin drilling November 1, 2002, weather
permitting.
MCC would appreciate the Division's calculation of the bond estimate for this project.
