Taft Hill Road Pits
Dear A1:
I am grateful to you for keeping me informed on the happenings
about this problem. I have looked over what you sent me on
September 14.
The misrepresentations and false assertions by Western Mobile
are immoral. They anger me. They also seem to defy you to do
anything, even to ask for compliance with your earlier order to
them! What they have done is in no way what you asked thE:m to do.
All they did was to draw on a map a line which indic~ites only
a part of the I.C. Woods system. Now, this is not simple :ignorance
by them. It is an attempt to blow you off and run rough-:shod over
my property rights.
As you know, water rights are property rights in (:olorado,
just like your house or my farm. Even though the water lin=_s are on
their land, it remains a4Y property. It has been appraised at more
than $1.300,000.
This was not simple ignorance because they once agai~l ignored
the court decree which recognized the water right. That court
decree very specifically states the description of the I.C. Woods
system. The legal description in that court decree has .been on
uuiiC record iTi -• .• ~~.•_ i~_ _i........ jn _ ~i .r~_~___
p" La{. lai~Ci V4a1 Lr Vl 4LV41~ ~/ l'G41J Q!{V /Y G.`J LGl {{
Mobile ignored it in their permitting process earlier. They want
you to forget it now!
One more thing. A1, this wasn't some accidental oversight by
Western Mobile where they missed one little 50-year-old court
decree. They missed the recorded statement of the system which is
about 90 years old. Lastly, they ignored my Quiet Title action on
the I.C. Woods water right which was decreed by the court four
years ago and recorded on public record. That's throe times the
I.C.Woods has been put oa public record and Western Mobile missed
all three!
Nobody is that incompetent. They just don't care.
At this point, the only way you are going to know the truth is
to insist that Western Mobile map the entire I.C. Woods on a map
according to tha public record. That means they take the legal
description right out of the court decree aad map it. I've enclosed
