Fugitive dust within permitted area - Air Quality permit <br />2. Blasting & offsite impacts to Tunnel Drive residents <br />3. Stormwater management and offsite impacts <br />DMG will recommend conditional approval to the Board on Nov 16, <br />1995 <br />Condition 1. Blasting & Offsite Impacts - DMG will requires that the <br />operator submit within 45 days an application for a technical <br />revision which provides the details of a blasting survey and <br />monitoring program. The blasting survey must define the <br />maximum allowable blast in units of peak particle velocity in <br />which there are no offsite impacts at the Phillip & Collita <br />Smith residence along Tunnel Drive. The blasting <br />monitoring program must identify the location of all proposed <br />blasting monitors and must ensure the submittal of all <br />monitoring data to the Division at least quarterly. <br />Condition 2. Stormwater Management - DMG will require that the <br />operator submit within 45 days an application for a technical <br />revision which provides appropriate Stormwater runoff calculations, <br />engineering designs and plans, as well as all necessary <br />approvals for the conveyance of Stormwater from the Tezak <br />Quarry across Tunnel Drive to the Arkansas River without <br />causing adverse offsite impacts. The revision application <br />must also ensure that all designed structures will be <br />installed and functioning properly no later than March 30, <br />1996. The revision application must include written <br />approvals from the City of Canon City, the Hydraulic Ditch <br />Company, and the Southern Pacific Railroad. <br />Condition 3. The Division will require the operator to notice the <br />objectors and all appropriate parties for each revisien to the <br />amended permit and also provide a copy of each revision application <br />for review at the County Clerk & Recorders Office in Cann City. <br />Condition 4. The Division will require the operator to <br />Cease & Desist from any disturbance in the amendment are•s <br />until the operator has sucessfully demonstrated compliarn~e <br />with conditions 1, 2, and 3, has received approval of an <br />acceptable blasting survey and monitoring program, has <br />received approval of an acceptable plan for safely routing <br />Stormwater offsite to the Arkansas River, and has completed <br />installation of all Stormwater designs, including ditchers, <br />ponds, spillways, culverts, and other structures as <br />necessary. <br />M:\oss\Quarry <br />
