Lonp, <br />Glenwood Springs, C~ 8161 Division Direcwr <br />Re: Proposed Decision - Phase I Bond Release Application <br />Coal Ridge No. 1 Mine (C-84-065) <br />Dear Board of County Commissioners: <br />The Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology has issued a proposed <br />decision to deny a Phase I bond release application for the Coal <br />Ridge No. 1 Mine, operated by the New Castle Investment Group, Inc. <br />(NCIG) under the provisions of the Colorado Surface Coal Mining <br />Reclamation Act of 1979. The bond release application was <br />submitted by NCIG on January 31, 1995 for the Coal Ridge No. 1 <br />Mine. The affected areas is located in portions of Sections 1 and <br />12 in T65, R91W and portions of Sections 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 15 and 16 <br />in T6S, R90W in Garfield County. <br />A copy of the proposed decision is enclosed for your review.
