III IIIIIIIIIIIIIIII <br />999 <br />Public Notice <br />Powderhorn Coal Company, P.O. Box 1430, Palisade, CO, 81526, has submitted an <br />application for a technical revision to the Division of Minerals and Geology for its Roadside <br />North and South Portals, mining permit No. C-81-041. The proposed revision updates the <br />final reclamation drainage design for the South fan and 2 West portal areas. The proposed <br />design utilizes silt fences to filter and treat run-off before it leaves the reclaimed areas. <br />The Roadside mines are located approximately three miles northeast of Palisade, CO at the <br />Interstate 70, Cameo Exit No.46. The permit area is split east and west by the Colorado <br />River and I-70, and is encompassed within the following lands: <br />T10S, R98W., 6`" P.M. <br />T11S, R98W., 6`" P.M. <br />T11S, R97W., 6`" P.M. <br />T1 S, R2E, Ute P.M.: <br />Sections 20, 21, 22, 23, 26, <br />Sections 1, 2, 11, 12, 13, 14 <br />Sections 6, 7, 18 <br />Section 1 <br />27, 28, 29, 34, 35 <br />The location of these sections is contained within the U.S. Geological Survey 7.5 minute <br />Cameo and Palisade Quadrangle maps. <br />A copy of the proposed revision is available for public inspection at the Mesa County Clerk <br />and Recorder's office, 544 Rood, Grand Junction, CO, and at the offices of the Division of <br />Minerals and Geology, 1313 Sherman St., Room 215, Denver, CO, 80203, (303) 866-3567. <br />Written comments regarding this application may be submitted to and additional information <br />may be obtained from the Division of Minerals and Geology at the above address. <br />
