Box 10265
Birmingham, Alabama 35202-0265
RE: Insurance Certificate
Salt Creek Mining Company and
Colorado-Ute Electric Association
Dear Mr. Cranford,
The Mined Land Reclamation Division has received copies of
insurance certificates for Salt Creek Mining Company's McClane
Canyon and Munger Canyon Mines. Regretfully, the insurance
certificates are not acceptable as submitted. Rule 2.03.9(1) of
the Regulations of the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board
requires that:
"... Minimum insurance coverage for bodily injury shall be
$300,000 for each occurrence and $500,000 aggregate; and
minimum insurance coverage for property damage shall be
$300,000 for each occurrence and $500,000 aggregate."
Therefore, the certificate of insurance for the McClane Canyon and
Munger Canyon Mines should be amended to specify the minimum
coverages addressed above.
If you have any questions or are in need of additional information,
please contact me.
Sincerely,
~i.;,~~c~ (..~'l'"1~=5,.;,c":rte
Susan L Morrison
Reclamation Specialist
cc: John Walters, Salt Creek Mining Company
