Smith <br />Reclamation Specialist <br />Re: C-84-065, Coal Ridge No. 1 Mine <br />Quarterly Inspection, Ponds and Ditches <br />First Quarter 1992 <br />Dear Ms. Smith: <br />All ditches, berms of all topsoil piles, berms along the portal <br />roads and ponds were inspected March 2, 1992. <br />Except for the roads leading to the two portals, the permitted <br />site was free of snow. <br />The eastern pond was dry, the western portion of the pond con- <br />tained a minimal water accumulation. <br />The ditches were found to be functional. The discharge structure <br />appeared to be sound. <br />During the inspection, some topsoil pile signs were replaced. <br />All topsoil piles are properly marked. <br />Some new Permit Boundary signs were also installed at some <br />visible points at the perimeter. <br />As requested during your recent inspection, a new lock was in- <br />stalled at the main gate, the key for this lock is attached <br />hereto. <br />The box with insulators and transformer have been removed from <br />the mine site. <br />Sincerely, <br />E.
