Payne, Surface Owner, Section 18, <br />Township 11 North, Range 69 West of the 6th P.M. <br />Gentlemen: <br />I represent the Owner, Merle G. Payne, of the above <br />described property on which Ideal Basic Industries, Irlc. has <br />applied for a Mining and Reclamation Permit. Mrs. Payne and <br />Ideal Basic Industries, Inc, are not able to agree on the <br />location of roads to be used in the mining operation. While <br />the application and map of Ideal Basic Industries, Inc. <br />shows a "tentative" access road and a "possible" acce:;s <br />road, Mr. Paul Thomsen of Ideal Basic Industries, Inc. now <br />advises that Ideal will not use the "possible" access road, <br />and will use the "tentative" access road. Mrs. Payne is not <br />agreeable to this and is not agreeable to the reclamation <br />proposed. Mr. Paul Thomsen of Ideal told me the hearing was <br />in April, but didn't give the date or time. <br />Previous promises of this company to do clean-up work <br />and reclamation were not carried out as agreed. The z•oad <br />location would create an intolerable dust problem. <br />Accordingly, she objects to the application. Please <br />advise me when the hearing will be so her objections a.nd <br />reasons can be voiced. <br />Very truly yours, <br />Alden T.
